About :

After lunch with a close junior in Bukchon, I had some time to spare, so I visited the house I most wanted to live in among all the Hanoks I’ve seen, as recommended by my junior. The Hanok is so harmonious and elegant, with a comfortable and elegant main room and guest room, an atmospheric Sarangchae, a large yard, and a quiet annex and garden. It was built in 1913 by Hansung Bank Managing Director Han Sang-ryong. He purchased 12 houses in the area and built it on a 907-pyeong site using black pine from the Amnok River. In 1944, Dr. Baek In-je purchased it and lived there with his family. Recently, the Seoul Metropolitan Government purchased it as a cultural asset and is open to the public.
