Based on the video from May 26, 1991, we drove by car along the old route of railway lines 108 and 109 within the city of Debrecen. 29 years have passed between the two films, which is unfortunately an awful lot of time, but one or two things are still very clearly visible and recognizable. Unfortunately, the Debrecen Vásártér station itself and the Debrecen Kertváros stop have disappeared without a trace, but a significant part of the route can still be driven by car today. Only after Debrecen Vásártér was there such extensive landscaping at Tesco (Segner Square) that there is no chance of following it by car for a section of about 7-800 meters. However, we did not follow it further after Debrecen Kertváros, because unfortunately they get off here in the 1991 video as well, and there is unfortunately no film about the rest. I tried to adjust it with the old video, but it's not 100% accurate, because we misjudged the speed of the train at the time, as the video taken from a much higher position from the locomotive seems slower than the footage recorded from the car. However, by adjusting the speed of the original VHS film, this is what was possible. Special thanks to Emese Bökönyi Lakatosné for her very useful help in the car tracking. BecsVision 2020 SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!! This is now a full HD 50fps video! If you would like to support my work and the digitization of old 8mm silent films: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/Becsk... There is always a need for Winyós and boxes, and my late father's 8mm films have been waiting for more than 10 years to be digitized. Thanks: Becs
