I have traveled south along the Osumi Peninsula in Kagoshima and the Satsuma Peninsula, and have been to the southern tip of the Japanese mainland. After visiting the western tip of the mainland in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture in May of this year, I decided to travel to the southern, eastern and northern tips as well.
