On May 26, the first Spotting Day of 2018 (and the fifth since the activity began) was held at the Arturo Merino Benítez Airport thanks to Spotters Chile, the airport concessionaire, Nuevo Pudahuel, and the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics of Chile. This Spotting Day was marked by the presentation made by the AMB Airport Rescue and Firefighting Service to the spotters, where some even had the opportunity to take a demonstration tour of the capabilities of a Rosenbauer Phanter 6x6 vehicle used for fire control and emergencies at the airport. As for the spotting itself, on this occasion we had the surprise visit of a Boeing 727F from the Uruguayan Air Class Cargo and a C-130H Hercules from the Bolivian Air Force, a rarity in these latitudes. Other interesting traffic included Boeing 747s from Atlas Air and KLM Cargo, as well as an Airbus A330-200 from Wamos Air that is operating flights for LATAM Airlines due to a lack of 787 aircraft. I invite you to enjoy this compilation with the best of another new day of spotting with friends from Nuevo Pudahuel and DGAC Chile, full of joy, friendship and, above all, safety and respect for the regular operation of the airport. Thanks to Benjamín Concha for collaborating with the video inside the Rosenbauer vehicle of SSEI. © JC Bascuñán All rights reserved All rights reserved
