Event page: https://bit.ly/3FMNjCY Video playlist: https://bit.ly/3Ms3V6T The Professional Master's Degree in Mathematics in the National Network - PROFMAT is a blended master's degree program in the area of Mathematics offered nationwide. It is formed by a network of Higher Education Institutions, within the context of the Open University of Brazil/Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), and coordinated by the Brazilian Mathematical Society (SBM), with support from the National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA). PROFMAT emerged through an action induced by CAPES together with the scientific community in the area of Mathematics, represented and coordinated by SBM. To date, more than 6,000 students have become masters through PROFMAT. The event aims to bring together at IMPA students and graduates of PROFMAT; professors of the program; and other members of the Mathematics community for two days of activities. The objectives of the event are: to value the academic and technological production of PROFMAT students and alumni; to present new and relevant mathematical topics to these same students; to bring together mathematicians who have been involved with PROFMAT since the beginning of this program until today. Target audience: PROFMAT professors and alumni; university professors who teach in the program; other mathematicians interested in PROFMAT and in mathematical topics related to Elementary Education. Lectures for Promotion: Ana Paula Chaves (UFG) Ledo Vaccaro (ledovaccaro.com.br) Luize D'Urso Vianna (IMPA) Paulo Pereira (Equaciona Educação) Problem-solving workshop: Roberto Imbuzeiro Oliveira (SBM/IMPA) Professional Doctorate Walcy Santos (UFRJ) Poster Submission: Participants interested in presenting a poster on November 10th must submit an abstract at the time of registration.
