On November 13th and 14th, Sicoob Nova Central held the 1st GRC Seminar: Governance, Risk Management and Compliance, bringing together presidents, directors and employees of affiliated cooperatives and the Central. The program included lectures and debates on relevant topics, such as: “Governance at Sicoob – Risk Mitigation”, led by Michelle Cristina Mattos, Governance Superintendent of the Sicoob Cooperative Center (CCS); “Sustainability and Governance: relationship and impacts on the cooperative”, given by Osório Nascimento, Citizenship and Sustainability Coordinator at Nova Central; “Application of the 3 lines of defense to Credit Cooperatives linked to the standards of the Central Bank of Brazil”, given by Aldo Henrique, executive director of the National Confederation of Cooperative Auditing; “Impacts of 4.966/2021 on business”, led by the Central's Supervision and Risk Analyst, Silvankley Neres da Silva; “Demystifying Sonar - Cooperative Recovery Policy”, by the Central’s Director of Supervision and Risks, Alaôr Morais; plenary session “The new CSA methodology in Sisbr 3.0”, led by Ângela Ribeiro, CCS’s Internal Controls and Compliance Supervisor; thematic room “Agents who provide direct support to Board Members and Directors”, by the Central’s Corporate Governance Manager, Andréia Moraes; “Risk and Cybersecurity”, led by CCS’s Cyber Risk Manager, Luiz Henrique Pigosso. In addition, there was a panel with representatives of the Central Bank of Brazil, Agnaldo Antônio Ghisleni (technical manager) and Thiago Balduíno Milhomens (Supervision Supervisor), who discussed prudential conduct, governance challenges, risk management, handling of audit notes and succession in the cooperative system. Representing Nova Central were the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Marcelo Baiocchi Carneiro, and the directors Ullisses Capistano (Superintendent), Alaôr Morais (Supervision and Risks), Newton Brum (Administrative and Financial) and Edina Fileti (Operations). The event was also attended by Rubens Rodrigues, Risk Director of CCS, and Luís Alberto Pereira, President of the OCB/GO System. The GRC Seminar marked an important step in the integration and training of affiliated cooperatives, reinforcing Sicoob Nova Central's commitment to excellence in governance, robust risk management and regulatory compliance as pillars for a sustainable future in the cooperative system.
