In this video I show you a 19th century recipe for a #rice cake. This recipe originally comes from the webshop/blog about the #19th century, namely www.paulowna.eu. I thought it would be fun to try it and to introduce you to a very old recipe! Isn't it super cool to eat something that they also ate so long ago? A real #vintage recipe ;). A slice of this cake provides about 90 kcal. So not very high in kcal! Ingredients: 100 grams of dessert rice 750 ml of full-fat milk 1 vanilla pod 1 lemon Pinch of salt and a little cinnamon 3 eggs 50 grams of butter Optional: 100 grams of sugar (recommended if you are making this cake for visitors ;)). Also a little old bread or breadcrumbs. Storage advice: It is best to store the cake in a cool place or in the refrigerator. The cake can be kept for about 2 to 3 days.
