Reporting on the German semi-final match at the 1990 World Cup in Italy on July 4th against England (5:4 on penalties) in Turin. First a short introduction by Dieter Kürten and Otto Rehhagel, then the half-time break with the complete heute-journal, the end of the game and the preparations for extra time. Finally the already legendary penalty shootout with a happy ending. Then interviews with the English coach Bobby Robson and Franz Beckenbauer (unfortunately I stopped the recording in the middle of the interview) and short reports from Italy including a few kisses from Ilona Staller... where I unfortunately had to insert a still image because of the all too bare facts. ;) Karl-Heinz Rummenigge briefly describes his assessment of the Italian mood (and infrastructure), before the ball artist Alfred Reindl shows off his skills.
