Here is the proof in three districts of the capital. The 19th and 20th arrondissements, districts in the east of Paris where the work of urban planner Albert Ascher gave rise to 1,200 housing units in Belleville and 3,000 in Saint Blaise. The 13th arrondissement, district of Place d'Italie, under the direction of the same urban planner who envisaged the renovation of an area of 100 hectares comprising 18,000 housing units plus thousands of square meters of offices, commercial premises and parking spaces. The documentary is illustrated by testimonies from residents: an old lady who was evicted, small shopkeepers and craftsmen worried by the renovation plan, a young couple who exchanged their slum for a council house.
