Their job is to prepare fish and put them in cans for a pittance. We discover in the film that their only distraction is going to the ball and that most of them live with their families in a shanty town built after the war. Colette Gouvion and Jean Pierre Lajournade met these young workers and their bosses. Interviews with the young girls alternate with images of them in their daily lives: at the factory, at the ball and at home. 🔎 CALL FOR WITNESSES: Do you recognize yourself or relatives in one of our archives?
