Tokoname-yaki is a nationally designated traditional craft product made in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, west of the Chita Peninsula. It is one of the six ancient kilns in Japan. The red clay kyusu is synonymous with Tokoname-yaki. This unique vermilion color still fascinates many people. We introduce young people who are dedicated to making kyusu while being grateful for the blessings of their hometown and the soil. ----- "Door to Tomorrow" is broadcast on the CS "Discovery Channel" every third Thursday of the month from 19:30 to 20:00. http://athome-tobira.jp/ "Door to Tomorrow" Our country boasts a number of unique traditions and cultures to the world...
