ECONOMY / INNOVATION After eight years without progress, in the last four months of 2024 work will begin on the Alicante Intermodal Station, which has 135 million euros available and is expected to last three years. In this way, the president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has signed, together with the mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala, and the president of Adif, Ángel Contreras, the agreement for the transfer of all the land free of charge, which has a surface area of 25,500 m2. This project will allow the TRAM to reach the train station, making it easier for a traveller arriving from a destination such as Madrid to go directly to Benidorm without having to leave the station. In addition, the president has taken advantage of the signing to visit the new Luceros TRAM station, which will reopen to the public on Thursday 22 February with better services.
