A Jeju Air passenger plane failed to land and burst into flames at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province, southwestern South Korea, just after 9 a.m. on the 29th. Fire department officials held a press conference just before 1 p.m. and revealed that 85 of the 181 passengers and crew members had died and two had been rescued. The number of casualties is likely to rise. The plane was reportedly en route from Bangkok to Muan Airport.
