This ride was on my wish list at the time, a ride on the Taigatrommel from Wünschendorf up to Seelingstädt station, where a lot of the load was still being carried for the uranium processing plant there. On May 28, 1991, the time had come and I was able to film this ride with the Greiz train driver Peter Mittler. In rainy weather, the train went up the Fuchsbach valley with a 1000t load. The 12km route has an elevation difference of 130m. The 120 292 couldn't go faster than 25km/h. And so it went up the mountain with a lovely background noise and the typical plume of exhaust fumes. Today, after 33 years, the route has long since been closed.
