I've been driving several Japanese cars for 12 years, and then I've been driving two Volkswagen Golf V GTIs and Golf R Variants. I've driven about 10 VWs as loaner cars or one-day test drives, and I've also been considering buying one or two AUDIs as loaner cars, so there are many places where I refer to them as German cars. I'm not sure whether to call them German cars or British cars, but I've also been driving several MINIs while considering buying one. *In the video, I introduced MINI as a "German car." The current MINI was founded by BMW in 2001, but during the Rover MINI era it was a "British car." Here are 12 things that surprised me when I switched from the Japanese car I'd been familiar with for many years to a VW Golf! *Currently I have two cars, a Daihatsu Move Canvas and a Volkswagen Golf. Both Japanese cars and VWs have their own merits. Initially, I was calling them "imported cars" and "German cars" in the hopes that many people would be interested, but I changed it because I was getting a lot of negative comments. Sorry. - [Addendum] - I don't mind criticism of my car choice, but please be considerate of those who choose imported cars as their beloved cars. --------------------- Your experiences and impressions are very helpful.
