St. Leonhard is the patron saint of farmers and livestock, especially horses, stables, stable hands, carters and blacksmiths. He is particularly revered in Tyrol, Salzburg and southern Germany. For the 11th time, the Noriker Breeders' Association Wilder Kaiser & Surrounding Areas invited people to the Leonhardiritt in Oberndorf in Tyrol! The response was huge! Riders and drivers from North and East Tyrol and the neighboring Pinzgau made their way to Oberndorf and spared no effort to get there. The largest group was also spectacular - the delegation from the LLA Weitau from St. Johann with a total of 16 horses, two carriages, one of which had a harvest crown. Co-operator Rupert Santner gave the blessing to the horses and their owners. The participants then completed a short circuit around two farms in the town center and were individually introduced to the large audience.
