A 110-kilometer hike in the dead of night, around the great landscapes of the wilderness of Urho Kekkonen National Park. There were fells and valleys, paths and no-paths, heat, rain and even thunder along the way. The beautiful, atmospheric light of the nightless night was like an endless sunrise and sunset. The itinerary was drawn on an old map, the route Hanna and her father traveled alone in the summer of 1988. Along the way, we came across many natural works of art, e.g. Maantiekuru, Luiro, Vongoiva, Mukkaköngäs, Pirunportti and Paratiisikuru. Dozens of rivers were crossed and the Travel Poodle Topi lasted the trip better than we could even hope for in advance, so you no longer have to think about how far you can hike with your miniature poodle or what kind of terrain you can take it to. The length and difficulty of the trip was estimated to be much lower than expected, and we had allocated far too little time to travel the route, so this time the whole hike was a little on the side of completion. Despite everything, it was a wonderful adventure :) #Hiking #Retkeily #UKK #ukk #Lappi
