Landing, taxiing, engine shutdown, door opening. Every minute counts. Many airlines allow roughly half an hour for the plane to depart for its next journey. There are companies that count on a turnaround time of 25 minutes in their schedules. And this should include everything: delivery and refueling, security check, cleaning, baggage handling. How can you speed up the movement of passengers? What methods are airports experimenting with in Europe? Why do passengers need to be near the gate when their plane is about to land? When did airlines start using a 30-minute turnaround time? Gábor Somogyi-Tóth, the managing director of Aeropark, and Bence Bisztritsányi, who works as a ramp attendant at Manchester Airport, also talk about this.
