Among these things, I would include: hygiene items for the family and the baby, food and foods that can be stored or frozen, and medicines. Oh, and another tip: have the phone number of the delivery service of a pharmacy, supermarket and even a restaurant on hand, or register your account on the websites of these establishments if they have online commerce. 2) Organize a schedule of what needs to be done A practical way to do this is to write down the menu that you want to be prepared and also organize the household chores, by day. This prevents the routine from becoming a mess or from people asking you everything all the time. 3) Have a device or app that plays sounds that babies like. Sounds like the sound of a faucet, washing machine, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, rain, the ocean, the uterus, and others are usually great for helping babies sleep. 4) Have a sling or baby carrier. A sling or baby carrier helps a lot when your baby is irritable or struggling to sleep, and it's also great when doing chores, since it leaves your hands free. Oh, and it's also perfect for outdoor walks, since you don't have to struggle with the stroller in your worn-out pants, and it also helps your child sleep while you're out walking (and you can never have too much sleep at this stage). 5) Find out how your child likes to sleep the most Finding out how your child likes to sleep and how he or she falls asleep the easiest is a great help. And here, in my opinion, anything goes: having your baby sleep on your lap, sleeping in the stroller, sleeping directly in the crib, sleeping in the bouncer, sleeping in the sling... After this age, you can start creating the sleep habits you want your child to have. Take advantage and watch this great video with 10 incredible tips to improve your newborn's sleep: • 10 INCREDIBLE TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR SLEEP... 6) In the late afternoon, cuddle your baby, cuddle him/her a lot, cuddle him/her a lot Many children have epic crying fits in the late afternoon. Therefore, the tip is to put your baby to sleep at the end of the day. Find out, as in the tip above, how he/she likes to sleep and then invest in it. The time when children usually start to get fussy and need to be cuddled and rested is around 5pm/6pm, so at this time, go all out and cuddle your little one a lot. 7) Accept all kinds of help It is always welcome when it comes from nice people who do not want to interfere in the way you raise your children, but just want to help. So, if your mother-in-law wants to hold the baby so you can have a calm meal, your friend stays with him so you can take a long bath or your husband offers to take care of him so you can get some sleep, accept it. This is important for you. 8) Have a bouncer (or use a baby seat as one) Bouncers are those comfortable little chairs that look like armchairs and play music, shake, etc. so you can put your baby in them from time to time to run around and do one thing or another (after all, it's impossible to hold your baby all the time because, if you don't, the rest of the house won't move). And if you don't have a bouncer, a great alternative is a baby seat or stroller, which you can also take with you wherever you go. 9) Use the nest technique The nest technique consists of placing two bath towels inside the crib, rolled up in an oval shape, like a nest, and covering them with a blanket. Then, just put the baby inside to sleep. He feels safer and will fall asleep more easily.
