Video report from the construction of the new route on Rozhen Blvd. and its connection with the Northern Expressway. A breakthrough on Rozhen Blvd. is expected to connect the capital's neighborhoods with the Northern Expressway from April next year. According to the project, the new section of the boulevard will have two lanes with three lanes in each direction, a dividing strip and sidewalks. New engineering networks, water supply and separate sewage are being built. The lighting is already working, the dividing green area between the lanes has been built, the sidewalks have also been built. The upcoming construction activities on the middle and southern lanes of Rozhen Blvd. do not foresee stopping traffic on the route. Residents of the surrounding neighborhoods will have public transport provided. The cost of building the route is over 50 million leva. The first stage, as the most difficult section to build, is the last over 700 m, which includes all communications. A bicycle lane is also planned in the area of ​​the western local lane of Rozhen Blvd. Traffic in the northern part of Sofia will be eased and these areas will be better connected to the central city. The tram route is also being built and reconstructed so that it is accessible and convenient for citizens in the northern neighborhoods. There is a possibility that next year Rozhen Blvd. will be extended and connected to the Ring Road.
