In 2016 I made a series: Love, Sex & Soof. I shared everything I experienced in the field of dating, love and sex. Eventually I got into a relationship, but last year I decided to end it with great difficulty. What happened after that and how I experience being single this time, you can see in this documentary. I show you how I went to Portugal to process my break-up - and I met someone there far too quickly. How I dealt with all the negative reactions when I got home, what (and who) came my way. How I tried to give the pain from my relationship a place, wanted to understand what exactly had gone wrong and what my role was in it. That I had to learn to say goodbye without actually saying goodbye, not only to my ex but also to my old cat that I never saw again. The first new dates I had, including with men who crossed my boundaries. How I got started with that - learning to recognize my boundaries and indicate them better. That I met a woman I was attracted to, that I eventually started dating online again, that I met someone who suited me well 'on paper' but that I eventually fell in love with someone who didn't really suit me and that I made the right choices in that. A lot has happened this year, all of which contributed to new insights that I needed to ultimately be happier. I made this documentary for recognition, support, inspiration, perspective, and especially to show that you don't need a permanent relationship to feel connected to others.
