Monday lesson from the first letter to Corinthians 2 [2] 1-5, on 21/10/2024, speaker Sotiris Stergios ------------------ (1 Cor. 2 :1) And I, brothers, when I came to you, I came without preeminence of speech or wisdom preaching to you the testimony of God. (1 Cor. 2:2) For I have decided not to find among you anything other than Jesus Christ, and this crucified one. (1 Cor. 2:3) And I came to you in sickness and in fear and with much fear, (1 Cor. 2:4) and my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but with evidence of the Spirit and with power, (1 Cor. 2:5) so that your faith may not be based on the wisdom of men, but by the power of God. (1 Cor. 2:13) Which we speak, not with teachable words of human wisdom, but with teachable words of the Holy Spirit, comparing the spiritual with the spiritual. (1 Cor. 1:17) For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in the wisdom of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void. (Ex. 4:10) And Moses said to the Lord, I see, Lord, I am not a slur neither from yesterday nor from the day before, nor from the time you spoke to your servant, but I am slow-mouthed and slow-tongued. (Jer. 1:6) And I said, O Lord God, behold, I cannot speak because I am a child. (Jer. 1:7) And the Lord said to me, Do not say, I am a child, because you will obey everyone to whom I will send you, and everything that I command you, you will say. (Rom. 16:18) For such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by good and flattering words deceive the hearts of the wicked; (2Pet. 1:16) For we have made known to you his power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, no sophistical fables followed, but eyewitnesses of that majesty. (Is. 8:20) In the law and in the testimony, if they do not speak according to this word, surely there is no light in them. (John 17:3) This is not eternal life, to know the only true God and whom you sent Jesus Christ. (Gal. 6:14) I was not born to boast about the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world was crucified to me and I to the world. (2 Cor. 4:7) And we have this treasure in vessels of shell, so that it may be the excess of God's power and not of us,
