The mountain marks the border between the Abruzzo and Lazio regions, on the primary watershed line. The northern side has a steep slope sloping down to the Roveto valley below, characterized just below the summit by an ancient glacial cirque that gives rise to the Peschiomacello valley, above San Vincenzo Valle Roveto. The western slope is linked by a ridge to Mount Pratillo (2007 m above sea level); to the northwest to Mount Passeggio (2063 m above sea level), the highest peak of the Ernici. Below these peaks is the Rio valley that opens beyond Rendinara, a town located on the western mountainous side of the Roveto valley. The southern slope slopes down to 1100 meters of Prato di Campoli. The eastern side is connected by the steep and wide Olmo valley to the underlying Rovetana valley. This peak is characterized by a sharp and rocky profile on three quarters of the sides, of a vaguely pyramidal shape, excluding the southern slope, which slopes down with a steep and uniform slope.
