The letter to the Philippians, written by Paul, is examined in terms of its authorship, context of composition, and recipients, identifying Philippi as a Roman colony with a mature Christian community. Paul wrote the letter mainly to thank for the support received and to address internal problems in the church, such as the lack of unity and the challenges brought by Judaizing teachers.
