We visited Şarköy Market, which is set up on Tuesday, to discover, taste and experience the blessings of this geography. Şarköy Market, which is set up on Tuesday, is actually a bit small. The market set up on Friday is bigger. However, we preferred Şarköy Tuesday Market due to the convenience of the calendar. We can say that Şarköy Market is a mixed market where village women and local people sell their local products and the vegetables and fruits they grow on their own small stalls, as well as market tradesmen. The market, which we entered with Coşkun Aral, with our backs to the sea, is spread out over the back streets of Şarköy and is a market that is easy to walk and wander around due to the structure of the streets. You may remember that Samsun Modern Market was right in the middle of the market. Şarköy Market, on the other hand, is a bit more among the settlements. In other words, although there are markets of course, it is not in the middle of a busy market. You can find all kinds of vegetables and fruits in the market. Tomatoes, henna okra and different types of grapes are the first to catch your eye. We did not forget to buy and taste the delicious black grapes known as gardinal grapes. While walking among the stalls, we thought a lot about what to cook today. When we saw the ball-shaped zucchinis and eggplants, we thought why not make stuffed vegetables and rolled up our sleeves. Again, we got information from the locals about Şarköy local dishes and Thrace local dishes. We did not forget to ask how to make Stuffed Zucchini. After buying all the necessary ingredients from the market, we headed to Chateau Kalpak Vineyards where we would cook.
